Judgment, not memorisation
The NPPE asks you to apply law and ethics to workplace scenarios, where more than one option can sound reasonable, so knowing a rule is not enough. The guide to NPPE ethics questions shows one way to reason through them.

What we publish, and what we don't
We do not publish an NPPE Pro pass rate. NPPE results come to each candidate through their regulator, so we only learn how someone did when they choose to tell us. A rate built only from the people who told us would overstate it, so we do not calculate one.
No official national pass rate is published either. The exam is scored against a fixed standard, with no set share of candidates meant to pass or fail at a sitting, and pass rates quoted by prep companies or online forums are not official figures.

Who builds NPPE Pro
NPPE Pro is built by CertNova Software Solutions Inc., based in Regina, Saskatchewan. CertNova also makes CBA Pro for the competency-based assessment, the part of a P.Eng application that documents your work experience.

What changed for candidates since August
These are the changes since August that a candidate would notice, taken from the merged pull requests and put in plain words.
- October: lesson videos. A lesson now takes one topic at a time: a short video where one is ready, a few lesson cards, then questions, with your progress recorded for each topic the session covered.
- October: a faster, steadier app. Your data loads once per page, every tap in a study session gets an answer, and links out of the home screen no longer end at a dead end.
- September: practice by topic, where a question you miss comes back until you answer it right twice, and a home screen that shows your road to exam day and why today's step comes now.
- September: the 52 topics checked against the NPPE syllabus. Professional seals moved to document control, whistleblowing taught once under the duty to inform, a new topic on ethical dilemmas, and new lessons on rights ethics and on statutory and non-statutory standards.
- September: a round of fixes from a full check of sign in, signup, home, flashcards, practice exams, plans and profile.
- August: the progress numbers on the home screen corrected, after they had been misleading.

Are NPPE Pro's reviews real?
Yes. Every written review of NPPE Pro on CertNova's Google Business Profile is on this page, quoted in full and unedited, and you can read each one on Google. The only reviews left out are about CertNova's other products, such as CBA Pro, and those are on CBA Pro's reviews page.
What is NPPE Pro's pass rate?
We do not publish one. NPPE results come to each candidate through their regulator, so we only learn how someone did when they tell us, and a rate built from those people alone would overstate it.
