Progress tracking
NPPE study progress tracking that shows the work adding up
A weekly XP chart, your streak and time studied, mastery in each domain, and your mock exam history, so you can see what each week of study did.
How to track progress in NPPE study
Track two kinds of number. Inputs show the habit: how many days you studied, how long, and how many questions you answered. Outputs show the learning: how much of the syllabus you have covered, how accurately you answer, and how you score on a full timed exam. Inputs without outputs means busy but not improving; outputs without inputs rarely lasts.
Check them weekly, not daily. A single session moves little, and a bad day says less than it feels like it does. Once a week, look at whether the habit held, which domain moved least, and whether your plan says you are ahead, on track or behind. Then point the next week at the weakest domain.
NPPE Pro records both kinds automatically from the work you do in the app, on your phone or your computer. There is nothing to log by hand: every lesson, practice set, review and mock exam updates your stats, your readiness score and your study plan.

Stats: is the habit holding?
Your streak, time studied and XP by day show whether you are showing up. A gap in the chart is easy to spot and easy to fix the next day.The NPPE Pro home screen: days to the exam, readiness against the target, and today's task. Readiness: is it sticking?
Coverage and accuracy in each domain show whether the study is turning into right answers. Stats and Readiness sit side by side, one tap apart. The NPPE Pro readiness report, by exam domain. Your plan: will it be done in time?
The study plan compares the topics you have left with the weeks to your sitting and says ahead, on track or behind, with a target date for each domain. The NPPE Pro study plan: four stages counted back from the exam date.
A five-minute weekly progress check
Once a week, open your stats and your plan and answer these.
Did the streak hold?
If it broke, find the day that slipped and what got in the way. One short session is enough to keep a streak alive.
Was this week's XP close to last week's?
A big drop usually means fewer sessions, not harder ones. Look at which days are empty in the chart.
Which domain moved least?
Compare mastery and readiness by domain with last week's. Point next week's extra session at the one that stalled.
What does the plan say?
Ahead, on track or behind. Behind early is cheap to fix; behind in the last fortnight is not.
Is a mock exam due?
If your plan has reached the mock exam stages, book the 2.5 hours in your calendar like a real appointment.
What XP measures, and what it does not
XP rewards effort: 15 for a correct answer, 5 for a wrong one, and a 10-point bonus for a session with every answer right. It is a good measure of how much you practised, and a weekly XP chart makes a skipped day obvious. That is all it measures.
A week of high XP spent on topics you already know does little for your exam. That is why NPPE Pro tracks mastery and readiness separately from XP: they ask whether you are getting questions right across the whole syllabus, not just whether you are answering lots of them. More on points, streaks and leagues is on the gamification page.

Questions people ask
More answers in the NPPE FAQ.
How do I track my progress studying for the NPPE?
Track inputs and outputs. Inputs are the habit: days studied, time and questions answered. Outputs are the learning: topics covered, accuracy by domain and mock exam scores. Check both once a week rather than daily. NPPE Pro records them automatically: stats for the habit, a readiness score for coverage and accuracy, and a study plan for pace.
What is the difference between stats and readiness in NPPE Pro?
Stats show the habit: your streak, time studied, XP by day and mastery by domain. Readiness shows how prepared you are: coverage times accuracy in each domain, including your mock exam answers. They sit side by side in the app. Use stats to check you are showing up, and readiness to check it is working.
When does my NPPE Pro study streak reset?
Your streak counts the days in a row on which you finish a session, using your own time zone, so an evening session still counts for that day. If a day passes without a session, the streak starts again from one the next time you study. One short session is enough to keep it going.
Can I see my past mock exam scores?
Yes. The mock exams screen shows each exam's best score and how many times you have taken it, and each report lets you switch between your attempts, with the score and date of each. Every report keeps its breakdown by topic and the explanation for every question, so you can compare attempts over time.
How is the readiness score calculated?
Your readiness score for each domain combines coverage (how many of its topics you have studied) with mastery (how accurately you answer its questions). Studying a topic once does not count as ready, and neither does answering a few questions well in one topic. The score rises as both grow.
Do the streaks and leagues actually help?
For most people the hard part of NPPE prep is consistency over several weeks, not any one topic. Streaks, points and a league table you climb with XP make the daily session a habit, and practice spread over weeks is consistently found to beat cramming (the spacing effect). If you would rather ignore the game layer, the study plan works without it.
How much time do I need each day?
It depends on the weeks to your sitting. A session takes about 15 minutes: a few lesson cards and 10 questions. With eight weeks to go, most days need one or two sessions while you learn the topics; start earlier and one a day is often enough. The plan's pace check tells you which.
Your first session takes fifteen minutes.
Tell NPPE Pro your sitting and it builds the plan. The 14-day trial starts from your first finished lesson, and no card is needed.
